How do I add the widget to my Lock Screen?
- Long press on your Lock Screen
- Tap "Customize" and select your Lock Screen
- Tap the widget area above or below the time
- Scroll to find "Daily Verse" and tap to add
- Tap "Done" to save your changes
How often does the verse change?
By default, the verse changes once per day at midnight. You can also set it to refresh hourly in the app settings for more variety throughout your day.
Can I customize the font and position?
Yes! Open the Daily Verse app to access all customization options:
- Font: Choose from a selection of beautiful typefaces
- Position: Place the verse in different screen positions
- Weight: Adjust text weight
- Reference: Show or hide the Bible reference
Why isn't my widget updating?
iOS manages widget updates to preserve battery life. If your widget isn't updating:
- Wait a few minutes — widgets update on iOS's schedule
- Open the Daily Verse app, which can trigger a refresh
- Make sure the app hasn't been removed from your device
- Restart your iPhone if issues persist
How many verses are included?
Daily Verse includes a curated collection of Bible verses covering themes like strength, faith, peace, love, hope, wisdom, grace, joy, and more.
What iOS version is required?
Daily Verse requires iOS 17.0 or later to take advantage of the latest Lock Screen widget features.
Does the app work offline?
Yes! All Bible verses are stored within the app. No internet connection is required after installation. The app works completely offline.
